7 Crazy Things That Went Down At MTV Movie Awards 2016

MTV Movie Awards are known for crazy on-stage antics, senseless costumes and sloppy smackers! The 25^th annual awards ceremony blessed audiences with tons of laughs and exclusive clips to thrill every diehard movie fan! Fans got their fair share of lovable reunions, fierce red carpet looks, and a few incredible acts. Hosts for the night was Kevin Hart and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and they hysterically presented the channel’s golden-popcorn affair, stringing together a list of A-list celebrities and appearances to unashamedly promote upcoming franchise instalments i.e. Captain America: Civil War and Fantastic Beasts – even Suicide Squad got a mention.

Viewers watched the MTV Movie Awards to be entertained, plain and simple. No pretentious or highbrow awards handed out or anything that truthfully celebrates artistic merit in film. There were tons of memorable moments that caught our attention but we did the hard work by listing a couple of our favourite CRAZY minutes of the awards.

The hosts’ epic high octane Mad Max arrival The explosive tribute included flaming guitars and pyrotechnics! The hosts entered the Warner Bros lot in full Mad Max gear, from metal-muzzle to the blazing guitar and even an entourage of war boys. It was the perfect opening homage to one of last year’s biggest films. Spectacular and entertaining.

An entire song about Leo and the bear When you think of The Revenant, you think of Leonardo DiCaprio and the bear. But the MTV Awards was a free for all, so they decided to perform a musical number about Leo having sex with a bear. The whole song was about how he was sexually assaulted by a bear! (cue dancing bears in the background)

The Lonely Island’s hip Will Smith tribute Introducing the Generations Award winner, Will Smith with a performance full of Will Smith jingles from the theme from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air to of course Getting’ Jiggy Wit It. The comedy rap group came onto stage dressed in ‘90s clothing, overalls and prints. It became the medley you never knew you wanted in your life.

Zac Efron apologizing to Seth Rogen’s “little Rogens” The stars of Neighbours have remarkable chemistry! Rogen was on stage in a bodysuit, bulging with fake muscles. Efron’s apology to his co-star’s shrunken testicles (balls) was sweet, comical and such a great moment on live television. Rogen continually referring to Efron as “Zachary” was just as hysterical!

THAT kiss on stage between Rebel Wilson and Adam DeVine The two actors sloppily made out on stage, shoes are lost and body parts even censored. Super racy and suggestive, but the “mushy kiss” custom is still alive and well!

Ryan Reynolds’ acceptance speech for best comedic performance Ryan Reynolds of course won our hearts as Deadpool and his performance was noteworthy for being absolutely side-splitting! Reynolds took time to give a shout-out to the film’s fans and gave a special shout out to his wife, Blake Lively, saying, “Everything I do is to make her laugh, especially the sex.” ROFL.

Eddie Redmayne introducing the new trailer for Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them The actor popped out from a suitcase (magical) and definitely drew fans’ attention to the Harry Potter spin-off. "Myself and the rest of the cast had such an astounding time getting to leap back into the world of JK Rowling's imagination," he said. We are more than excited to see this flick in November!
