70 per cent of RMAF training to be held at Sendayan Air Base by year-end

The Sendayan Air Base in Seremban, the biggest Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) training centre, will be the venue for 70 per cent of the RMAF training when it is completed and fully operational by end of this year.
RMAF chief General Datuk Seri Afendi Buang said the 303.5-hectare Sendayan Air Base would take over the functions of the training centre for all RMAF staff and officers, from the Subang Air Base and Kinrara Air Base.
"Unlike other Air Base, the Sendayan Air Base will also become a one-stop centre for administrative, logistics and other trainings as it will be equipped with a more modern, conducive, comfortable and practical facilities for training purposes.
"The Sendayan Air Base will also become the advanced training centre for RMAF officers pursuing career development in various air force fields," he told reporters the conferment of aviation wings to 31 young RMAF officers at the RMAF College here Tuesday. - BERNAMA
