Ismail Sabri said a total of 3,585 public sanitation operations were carried out involving 113 zones including 30 Red Zones.
Police arrested 763 individuals for violating the Movement Control Order (MCO) on Wednesday, bringing the total number of arrests under the MCO to date to 18,498 people nationwide.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the number had dropped from 865 individuals detained the day before.
According to him, the number also included 648 people who were remanded and 115 others released on police bail besides 860 individuals produced in court yesterday.
"Police with the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) conducted 835 roadblocks nationwide and inspected 581,942 vehicles.
"A total of 41,184 surprise inspections were also conducted nationwide, with 6,658 premises being inspected by the authorities," he said at a daily press conference here on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said a total of 3,585 public sanitation operations were carried out involving 113 zones including 30 Red Zones.
"As of yesterday, a total of 253 sanitation operations were conducted in 79 zones in 13 states, including 39 in Johor and 26 in Perak.
"Yesterday's sanitation operations included 181 government buildings, 158 public places, 103 business centres and 16 supermarkets.
"In total, 2,423 government buildings, 1,498 public places, 1,590 business centres, 248 supermarkets and 1,205 residential areas including the People's Housing Project (PPR) have been disinfected," he said.
