AC Schnitzer’s latest scion takes the formidable X6 to all-new heights
The latest harbinger of terror to roll out of Aachen based tuner, AC Schnitzer’s doors; lavishes the BMW X6 with even greater street presence and power with the new Falcon BMW X6 range. New to the fore is a host of technical enhancements to the drivetrain and stylistic touches that aims to gallantly improve on the already formidable base.
The performance upgrades are applicable for two venerable petrol engines, both which are locally available - the X35i and X6M. The tune-kits breathe more power to the tune of 306bhp to 360bhp for the X6 35i and from 575bhp to an incredible 650bhp for the BMW X6 M. Just in case the 4.2second 0-100kph time on an X6M brochure fails to pique adequate interest.
The diesels get a substantial boost too. The BMW X6 30d, 40d and M50d - delivering 309bhp instead of 258bhp, 360bhp instead of 313bhp and 49bhp more than the standard engine respectively. The AC Schnitzer performance upgrades always come complete with a two-year warranty, which can be optionally extended to three years.
More impressive perhaps, is the sound-tuning AC Schnitzer has performed on the diesel variants. The AC Schnitzer sound module set for diesel vehicles consists of a twin-silencer mated to various tailpipe configurations and a sound module which, via remote control, offers seven different exhaust notes (six + standard) to allow diesel variants to purr a characterful timbre even at low revs.
On the exhaust side - the X6 Falcon announces its intent with a range of AC Schnitzer silencer options with "Racing", "Sport" and "Sport Black" tailpipes. The X6M takes this treatment further with addition of the the AC Schnitzer silencer with flap control and two "Carbon Evo", "Sport", "Sport Black" or "Carbon Evo" tailpipes available.
The brutish exterior of the X6 is beefed up with a brand-new, ten-piece AC Schnitzer Falcon widening kit for the front and rear wings, including Falcon emblem. The Falcon X6 is widened by 50 mm at the front and 90 at the rear mm over the standard car. There’s an AC Schnitzer engine styling pack applicable for all models too, excepting the Falcon X6M.
The Falcon X6 range is also lowered by 20mm - 30 mm front and 15mm - 25mm in the rear over the base models thanks to the AC Schnitzer suspension spring sets. This is also claimed to contribute to increase precision on the blacktop.

And individual special elements, such as the AC Schnitzer front skirt, bonnet vents (with optional Chrome Design elements), carbon mirror cover (not for X6 M), rear wing in the export version, rear diffusor, carbon rear skirt insert (X6 M) and rear skirt film can be ordered on demand to further suit individual tastes.
Central to the overall look and feel of the new Falcon X6 is the glorious double-spoke AC1 wheel. The one-piece AC1 wheels are weight-optimised cast alloys produced in the low-pressure casting method. They are available in Bi-Color or matt anthracite in 22-inch for the X6 Falcon.
Those who want more can opt for the three-piece AC1 forged racing rim, recognizable by its visible bolts. These come in black high gloss or Bi-Color hand-polished for the X6 Falcon and are available in 22- and 23-inch sizes with an offset of up to '-20'. The AC1 Forged Racing Rims are extremely strong, thanks to their forged outer bed and star combined with milled inner bed design and construction. So if the one of the loudest cars on the roads isn’t enough for you – perhaps the Falcon X6 by AC Schnitzer is your perfect flight of fancy!
