Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the accusation that the government did not honour those who died during the Lahad Datu intrusion the same way as those on board of the MH17 is aimed to divide the people.
Najib stressed that the police and Armed Forces role in protecting the nation will always be honoured and appreciated.
He said the government had also aided those affected by the incident.
He said those who made the accusation had earlier claimed that the Lahad Datu intrusion was staged by the government.
Najib also called on the Muslims in the nation to pray for strength to face the challenging times.
“I also ask for us to strengthen our faith and seek blessings from Allah so that we are able to face the test,” he said at the launch of Perdana Ulama-Umarak and Mosque Awards 2014.
In his speech, Najib also touched on the plight of Gazans and described the attack by Israel on Gaza as a war with no moral basis.
“Where is the moral basis in this? If we want to go on war, we must have a moral basis,” he stressed.
He said some have also called Gaza as the biggest prison in the world.
Where is justice in a war?” he asked.
