Action will be taken against quarters responsible for dumping waste by the roadside of the Middle Ring Road 2 ((MRR2) in Kepong on Saturday.
The Urban Wellbeing, Housing and local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, however, said immediate action had been taken the clear the rubbish there.
Alam Flora began clearing the area as early as 9am and by 5pm, it had been cleared, he said in a statement here on Saturday.
He said rubbish was then sent to the dumping site at Bukit Tagar.
The rubbish was supposed to sent to the waste transfer station at Taman Beringin, Jinjang, but some of the garbage contractors had dumped the rubbish there after learning that station at Taman Beringin was closed.
Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) Director-General Datuk Salleh Yusop, when contacted by Bernama, said the waste transfer station at Taman Beringin, Jinjang, had been closed due to a faulty waste incinerator.
