Actress and boyfriend charged with drug possession

An actress and her boyfriend pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate's Court here today, to a charge of possessing two pills, believed to be Erimin 5 weighing 0.6 grammes.

Zarina Anjoulie Fahizul Mohamad, 27, and Fakhruzaim Mohamad Mohamad Fawzi, 27, are alleged to have committed the offence at a premise in Jalan PJU 10/1C Damansara Damai, here, at 5.30pm, on Dec 30 last year.

The private college students were charged under Section 12 (2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which carries maximum jail sentence of five years or a fine of RM100,000 or both, upon conviction.

Magistrate Nazri Omran granted both the accused RM2,000 bail with one surety each and set the case for mention on Feb 8.

They were represented by counsel Mohd Haijan Omar. Zarina Anjoulie starred in the TV drama series 'Anak Pontianak.'
