AES summons still need to be settled by offenders - Hishammuddin
The summons issued under the Automated Enforcement System (AES) are still in force although the court proceedings have been postponed, said Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.
"This means that motorists who received AES summons will still have to settled the compound," he said in a written reply to Teresa Kok (DAP-Seputeh) at the Dewan Rakyat, today.
Hishammuddin said the summons should be paid because the notice that was issued to the offender was in accordance with the law.
He said thus far the AES was located at 14 locations in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, namely, KM375.9, Plus Highway-Slim River (north), KM7 Jalan Maharajalela, Teluk Intan (to Bagan Datoh), KM91, Jalan Ipoh-Butterworh (south-bound), KM26, Jalan Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur (south-bound), KM 204.6, Old Klang Road (Jalan Sepadu intersection) and in Jalan Lebuh Sentosa, Putrajaya (Kajang to PICC).
