AFGHANISTAN has insisted that the government is not against the rights of women.
The country's Acting Minister of Public Health Dr Qalandar Ibaad Jan said the administration has open multiple areas for women to contribute.
"We recognise that women are the main contributor and have an important role in our society.
"Without the women, it will be very hard to run our society," said Dr Qalandar during an interview with Astro AWANI in the Agenda AWANI slot.
Also featured during the interview was Political Economy and International Relations analyst Herizal Hazri.
When pressed on about the education rights of young girls, especially at a seconday level, Dr Qalandar touched on the variety of opportunities available to women as teachers.
"Now we have about 200,000 women teaching at the school. As far as our government policy is concerned, we try our best to facilitate a secured and safe system for women," he explained.
