Afternoon traffic slow along several highways
Other routes are under control.
Traffic flow along several major highways continues at a sluggish pace as of 12pm today.
According to a North-South Expressway Project Traffic Control Centre (PLUS) spokesman, traffic remained slow-moving northbound from Rawang to Bukit Beruntung, Bukit Beruntung to Lembah Beringin and Behrang to Gopeng.
"The situation is similar along the stretch from Jelapang to Sungai Perak, Kuala Kangsar to Changkat Jering and Bukit Berapit to Bukit Beruntung," he told Bernama when contacted here.
The spokesman said traffic flow southwards was only slow at the stretch from Seramban to Pedas Linggi. Other routes are under control.
Meanwhile, a spokesman from Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) told Bernama that traffic congestion had worsened in the Gombak area towards Bentong.
"A contraflow has been activated from Km57 till Km59 to ease the jam," he said.
