KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today joined the 257th Meeting of the Conference of Rulers at Istana Negara here.
The two-day meeting, which began yesterday, was chaired by Sultan of Kedah Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah.
Also in attendance were the Sultan of Terengganu Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin; Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar; Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah; Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Almarhum Tuanku Munawir.
Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah; Tengku Mahkota of Kelantan Tengku Dr Muhammad Faiz Petra Sultan Ismail Petra and Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail were also attending the meeting.
Also present were the Yang Dipertua Negeri of Penang, Melaka, Sabah and Sarawak.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob was also attending the meeting.
The Malay Rulers were accompanied by the respective Menteri Besar while the Governors were accompanied by the Chief Minister, except for Sarawak which sent a Deputy Chief Minister.
The last meeting of the Conference of Rulers was held on Feb 19 and 20, 2020, chaired by Sultan Nazrin Shah.
