Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today held a Pre-Cabinet session with Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin through video conference at the Istana Negara.
Comptroller of the Royal Household of Istana Negara Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said in a statement that the session was held online following the implementation of the third phase of the Movement Control Order (MCO).
“Al-Sultan Abdullah wishes that the pre-Cabinet meeting be continued through video conference as the MCO runs for His Majesty to discuss with Muhyiddin, especially on current issues.
"This reflects Al-Sultan Abdullah's concern for the country's administration and the people's well-being as His Majesty will normally head to the Melawati Palace in Putrajaya for pre-Cabinet meetings," he said.
Ahmad Fadil said the session lasted for 45 minutes from 8.30 am, with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Prime Minister exchanging greetings, in addition to being meticulous, during the discussion.
He added the Prime Minister also thanked Al-Sultan Abdullah for his concern that the government need not pay His Majesty the Royal Emoluments for six months from March to August 2020.
