KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic is slow-moving along some major highways as people begin returning to their hometowns to celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha tomorrow.
A North-South Expressway (PLUS) spokesman said traffic was slow northbound from Slim River, Perak to Sungkai, as well as from Bidor to Tapah and Tapah to Gopeng.
"Traffic is slow heading north from Juru, Penang to Sungai Dua and from Jawi to Bukit Tambun. Traffic is also slow from Sedenak to Simpang Renggam.
"As for the southbound route, traffic is slow from Senawang to Pedas Linggi, Negeri Sembilan. Traffic is also slow from Putrajaya to Bandar Gamuda Cove," said the spokesman when contacted today.
Meanwhile, a Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesman said traffic along the KL-Karak Highway (KLK) heading towards the East Coast was also slow from Gombak to Lentang.
Traffic has also been reported to be slow-moving from the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link (LINKEDUA) to the Tuas checkpoint in Singapore and from Tambak, Johor to the Woodlands checkpoint.
