Air Asia dismisses flight AK5671 'crash' rumour as fake

Air Asia Head of Communications Aziz Laikar said that ‘news’ of an Air Asia plane crashed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport was fake and urged net users to stop spreading rumours.

“The rumours are not true. We encourage people to ignore any Whatsapp or SMS messages they receive about the rumor and stop sharing it,” he told Astro AWANI.

Social media has been abuzz since noon that ‘Air Asia flight AK5671 from Kuching’ had crashed at the airport today.

Attached with the message is a photo of an overturned toy plane.

Net users has responded to the rumour in different ways.
