AirAsia aircraft skids off Brunei airport
SKIDDED: An AirAsia flight skidded off the runway of the Bandar Seri Begawan International Airport, Brunei today. - Twitter
An AirAsia flight skidded off the runway of the Bandar Seri Begawan International Airport in Brunei, today.
The no-frills airline, which confirmed the matter in a statement, said the incident happened at 4pm.
"All passengers and crew on board disembarked safely and there are no injuries reported for this incident.
"Our ground services personnel are currently attending to the needs of all passengers concerned.
"Our team is working with the relevant authorities to identify the root cause of this incident, and AirAsia will provide further updates as necessary," the statement read.
The AK278 aircraft was carrying 102 passengers and seven crew members.
Meanwhile, photos of the incident were circulated widely in the social media platforms.
