AirAsia flight to Langkawi makes U-turn

An AirAsia flight from Penang to Langkawi today had to turn back after 10 minutes due to a technical problem.
A Penang International Airport (PIA) spokesman said AirAsia Flight AK6242 which left at 4.30pm was supposed to land in Langkawi at 5.05pm.
"The aircraft turned back after 10 minutes due to a technical problem and the flight had to be rescheduled.
"It safely landed in Langkawi at 6.30pm, a delay of almost 1 hour and 30 minutes from the original schedule," he added.
Meanwhile, an AirAsia employee who declined to comment when contacted said a press statement would be issued.
