
No, we’re not going to bore you with long essays about Mitsubishi’s brand new competitor but we’re just going to list down the ten must-know facts about the car. So here’s to a quick read!
- The official launch is in April but you can whip out your cheque books and put your name down on an Outlander starting from the 26th of February 2016.
- Mitsubishi is offering the Outlander Completely Built-Up (CBU) from Japan.
- Under the bonnet lies a 2.4-litre Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control (MIVEC) engine that boasts 165bhp at 6000rpm and 222Nm at 4100rpm.
- The Outlander’s front face has a name, it’s called “Dynamic Shield”, a concept which expresses powerful performance and reassuring sense of protection.
- There are seven versatile seats in the Outlander, along with Sunroof and an Electric Tailgate that opens up to a 1608-litre cargo area.
- Outside, a set of LED Headlamps with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) decorates the face while the car wears 18-inch Dual-Tone Alloy Wheels as standard.
- Safety features include: Seven-Airbags, Active Stability and Traction Control (ASTC), Hill-Start Assist (HSA), Anti-lock braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist, Mitsubishi’s Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE body) and Collapsible Steering Column.
- The multi-select 4WD system that offers three different modes: 4WD Eco for better fuel economy numbers, 4WD Auto to provide smoother cornering performance and 4WD Lock that permanently feeds torque to all wheels during hill climb or when off-roading.
- Mitsubishi has three colours on offer: Red Metallic, White Pearl and Grey Metallic.
- The Mitsubishi Outlander is yours at RM166,720.00 on-the-road without insurance. That is if you book and register your Outlander before 31 May 2016.
