And the first owner of the Disco Sport in Malaysia is…

Just like in international waters, Land Rover Malaysia is happy to celebrate the first Land Rover Discovery Sport to roll out of the factory. At least in Malaysia, it’s rolling out of a showroom instead.

Last year, Land Rover had made a huge affair out of the first Disco Sport rolling out of the factory and on to serve the world. That Disco Sport had had to play a more charitable role, but the first Disco Sport in Malaysia will belong to British High Commissioner to Malaysia, Her Excellency Mrs. Victoria Treadell.

Land Rover had made a huge ceremony out of it as well, with managing director of Jaguar Land Rover (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Tuan Syed Mudzhar Syed Ali handing out the keys to the Firenze red Land Rover Discovery Sport 2.0-litre Si4 to Mrs. Treadell at an exclusive customer event held in conjunction with the vehicle’s Malaysian debut.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport is the first member of the new Discovery family and is built in the same location as the brand’s best-selling Range Rover Evoque factory in Halewood, Liverpool.
