Angler feared drowned after boat capsizes
An angler was feared drowned when the boat he was sailing with six other anglers capsized after being hit by strong waves in waters near Simpang Tiga Tanjung Kuali Kabong, here, Friday evening.
The missing angler has been identified as Nurul Aizan Daraman, 24.
The six other anglers, however, managed to swim to safety.
Acting Saratok police chief ASP Zamrul Ahmad Tahir said the search and rescue operation would be launched early tomorrow.
"The operation cannot be carried out today because it is already late and the area is dark," he told Bernama when contacted here.
The six survived anglers are Chee Mat Chee, 24, Mohd Azhar Salleh, 24, Abg Mohd Shammy Abg Mansor, 24, Mohd Hafizul Izzani Abg Mansor, 17, Mohd Zulhelmi Bolhassan, 17, and Aman Afendi, 31.
