Anglers feared missing in Bachok
He said MMEA has sent two of its boats for a search and rescue operation.
Eleven people including crew members on a class A boat were feared missing on their way back after a fishing trip near the Lawit oil rig, near here.
Malaysia’s Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Kelantan director Capt Nurul Hizam Zakaria said the boat carrying the anglers was believed to have met with an accident.
The group was scheduled to return to the Kemasin jetty, Bachok on Sunday evening but until today, they have been unreachable.
They had left on Friday evening.
He said MMEA has sent two of its boats for a search and rescue operation.
