KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Annuar Musa, who has been appointed to helm the Communications and Multimedia Ministry (KKMM) is committed to formulating a new direction for the ministry to be more proactive and contribute to the nation's prosperity.
In a statement today, he said KKMM plays an important role, especially when the country is in the midst of various challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and economic recovery efforts, the need to empower the digital sector as well as the protection of people's lives.
"InsyaAllah, I will do my best to carry out my tasks and responsibilities," he said and thanked Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah for consenting to his appointment to be part of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri's Cabinet.
The former Federal Territories Minister said he was hoping for the full cooperation of staff of the ministry and its agencies.
"May Allah SWT ease the process of our undertakings and we become more organised in our work under the leadership of the ninth Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob," the Ketereh MP said.
Annuar said the appointment was a big honour for him, the Ketereh constituents, UMNO and Barisan Nasional and expressed his appreciation and thanks to the prime minister.
Ismail Sabri today announced the list of his results-oriented Cabinet involving 31 ministers and 38 deputy ministers, who as a management team will work together with the people.
