There had been rumours previously saying that Annuar would meet with Khalid, a meeting believed to be in relation to the Dudley International House scandal in Melbourne, Australia.
Members of the press from various organisations were left empty handed despite waiting for more than an hour for any information following Majis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) chairperson, Tan Sri Annuar Musa’s meeting with Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar today.
The press had converged at Bukit Aman since 11.30am with the hope of getting the latest development surrounding the controversy involving government agency, but were left disappointed when Annuar’s car exited the premises without so much as a word.
Efforts to contact Annuar by phone also yielded no response.
Earlier the IGP had confirmed that he would meet with Annuar behind closed doors at the police headquarters at noon today.
However he did not know the reason or agenda of the meeting.
“I was not told the reason. He (Annuar) had asked to meet with me.
“I’m used to receiving many visitors. Anyone who wants to see me can do so.
“So, we’ll just have to wait to see,” he told reporters at a press conference after a ceremony to present safety helmets to traffic officers organised by Celcom, today.
