Another 1,171 Malaysians returned home, seven taken to hospital - Ismail Sabri

A total of 1,171 Malaysians have returned home via the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA2.
Senior Minister (Defence Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said they had arrived from countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), China, Pakistan, Brunei, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Australia and the Philippines.
"Of these, 1,164 individuals have been ordered to undergo quarantine in their homes while seven were taken to the hospital," he said in a statement today.
He added that the PDRM had conducted 944 quarantine SOP compliance checks at home and found that all of them complied with the prescribed SOP.
According to the records, from June 10 until July 3, the Ministry of Health (MOH) had screened 10,278 individuals at the KLIA entrance.
Of those, 10,231 individuals were found to be COVID-19 negative and were undergoing mandatory quarantine process at their homes while another 47 were positive and were sent to hospital for treatment.
