Four days after fire razed 13 houses at Kampung Ampalang in Pulau Bum Bum near here, another 60 went up in smoke at Kampung Balembang on the same island early today.
Semporna Fire and Rescue Station chief, Fazizul Hizam Borhan said eight firefighters arrived at the scene at 4.52am following a distress call at 4.10am.
"The team had difficulty in reaching the area and finally completed the operation at 7.16am with the assistance of four marine police personnel," he said in a statement here, today.
He said there were no casualties while the number of victims, cause of the fire involving about one acre and estimated loss had yet to be determined. -- Bernama
