They sure do love their compacts in the UK, Suzuki adds another to their mix. By Jerrica Leong
Suzuki’s new Celerio will be going on sale February next year and they wasted no time at all introducing their new compact City car to the world. The Celerio now has a price and a spec sheet to present to their future owners.

There are two variants, the base SZ3 and the SZ4. The SZ3 comes with six airbags (six for a tiny car like that!) and all the usuals you would expect from a car, other than the CD tuner there is also USB and Bluetooth connectivity to better enjoy the music of your choice. While the SZ4 gets front fog lamps, rear electric windows and chrome front grilles.

Suzuki has succeeded in delivering a roomy and comfortable interior within a compact body measuring just 3600mm in length and a width of 1600mm. Celerio has a turning circle of just 9.4 metres too making it one of the most manoeuvrable in its class.

The Celerio now has a 1.0-litre three cylinder 67bhp engine but come summer time for the Brits and Suzuki will be adding another engine type to the Celerio that will be based on Suzuki’s new Dualjet engine technology.

Suzuki will also be introducing their newly developed Auto Gear Shift system as well. The system will come with a unique feature known as a low speed “creep” facility which allows the car to move in gear without applying the accelerator. This is ideal for slow traffic and parking.

This spacious compact car will be coming to their owners at just £7999 for the SZ3 and £8,999 for the SZ4. If only they would come to Malaysia, I’m sure the prices wouldn’t be high as well.
