Around 200 sit-in and anti-GST protesters gathered in front of the Kelana Jaya police station on Monday night demanding an immediate release of 82 individuals arrested by police since early morning.
They are also demanding for each of individuals arrested to be given access to lawyers.
Seen at the gathering were several Pakatan Rakyat leaders including Lembah Pantai MP, Nurul Izzah Anwar and a group who claimed to be university students.
It is reported that the gathering in front of the Kelana Jaya police station started at 6pm on Monday following the arrest of several individuals at the Kelana Jaya police headquarters.
Clashes occurred between the secretariat of the Gabungan Bantah Cukai Barangan dan Perkhidmatan (GST) and the police during the submission of the memorandum to the Customs.
