The organisers and participants of the Anti-Goods and Services Tax (GST) rally have been told to abide by the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 or else stern action will be taken against them.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh said the rally was approved following four meetings held with the organisers.
"However, they are not allowed to gather and enter the field and podium at Merdeka Square because the area is being upgraded. They are only allowed to gather around the Merdeka Square.
"They are also not allowed to bring children, loud hailers and weapons to the rally," he told reporters at the Kuala Lumpur Police Headquarters here today.
The protestors are expected to assemble from 2 pm to 5 pm tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Mohmad advised the public to avoid eight areas as massive traffic congestion were expected there from noon until 8 pm tomorrow.
They are the KLCC, Sogo, the National Mosque, the KL Sentral, Pasar Seni, the Indian Mosque, Puduraya, and Dataran Maybank near Plaza Rakyat.
There will be no road closures, he added.
