Police have given the green light for participants of the Anti Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) rally on Saturday to gather at Padang Merbok, here.
Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Zainol Samah said that police have met with the organisers and they have also been granted permission to converge at the above location by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
"When we met with the organisers during the second meeting, they have agreed to hold the rally at Padang Merbok if they were not given permission by DBKL to hold it at Dataran Merdeka," he told a press conference at the Dang Wangi police headquarters on Friday.
Police have also warned the organisers to remain only at Padang Merbok during the rally, and not to gather at Dataran Merdeka.
"We will not hesitate in taking stern action if there is any breach of law," he added.
