The Federal Court today heard Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's review to set aside his sodomy conviction.
He was sent to prison on Feb 10 last year for five years for sodomising his former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, 31.
Anwar wants to invoke Rule 137 of the Rules of the Federal Court 1995 to review the decision of the five-member panel led by Chief Justice Tun Arifin Zakaria.
The former Opposition leader had arrived at about 8.45am in a Prisons Department vehicle.
Also present were PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Azizah Wan Ismail, vice-presidents Nurul Izzah Anwar, Tian Chua, DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang and Pokok Sena MP Datuk Mahfuz Omar.
Hundreds of Anwar's supporters gathered peacefully outside the court in a show of solidarity.
