KUALA LUMPUR: The government will continue to implement the MyBrain 2.0 scholarship programme, which offers broader educational access to all qualified Malaysians seeking to pursue Master's and Doctoral degrees.
The Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) said in a statement today that MyBrain 2.0, an extension of the MyBrain15 programme, will give priority to students pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), as well as social sciences and professional literature.
"In the first phase, the MyBrain 2.0 programme is targeting individuals who are unemployed or without a fixed income, as well as lecturers from private higher education institutions to further their studies at 20 public universities.
"The scholarship covers tuition fees and living allowances as part of the government's initiatives to ease the financial burden of students while simultaneously producing graduates with marketable value," the statement read.
Applications for the scholarship can be made online via the MyBrain 2.0 Application System at https://biasiswa.mohe.gov.my/MyBrain2 from 3 pm today until 11.59 pm, Aug 21.
The MyBrain 2.0 programme is a crucial platform in supporting the development of the nation's human capital with high intellectual capacities and the capability of driving progress in thoughts, spirituality and material aspects to realise the Malaysia MADANI concept.
It also aligns with the government's aspiration to empower STEM education among students.
