The Dewan Rakyat today approved the appointment of Rompin MP Datuk Hasan Arifin as the new PAC chairman, replacing Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed, who was appointed Deputy Home Minister.
Nur Jazlan said he was confident Hasan would discharge his responsibilities well.
He said he hoped that Hasan would obtain the full cooperation of all parties on the PAC so that interrupted matters could be resumed.
