Astro AWANI employee stabbing incident: Two unemployed men remanded

Two unemployed men have been nabbed and remanded until December 23 to facilitate investigations into a case where an Astro AWANI employee was stabbed at an apartment here, Friday.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said the 25-year-old suspects were picked up about 2pm yesterday, at a premises in the district.
In the 11.30pm incident in Jalan Usahawan on Friday, Ahmad Hawari Zakaria, suffered stab wounds in the abdomen.
Ahmad Hawari, a floor manager at the news and current affairs channel (Channel 501), is now warded at Kuala Lumpur Hospital, 24-hours after he was placed at its Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Astro AWANI staff stabbed, now in critical condition
The police have heightened operations in search of several individuals allegedly involved in the incident.
“Both of them are jobless and they are being remanded today. Further investigation is being carried out,” he said, when contacted by Astro AWANI here today.
According to Zainuddin, both suspects were detained under Penal Code Section 326 for causing severe injury with the use of weapons and under Penal Code Section 148 for rioting.
