Astro Awani Group Editor-in-Chief, Suhaimi Sulaiman's father dies

Astro AWANI Group Editor-In-Chief Suhaimi Suhaimi's father, Sulaiman Maatan, 81 died after suffering from dengue and heart complications at Hospital Serdang intensive care unit (ICU) at approximately 10am this morning. He was 81.

Sulaiman suffered a fall at a business complex in Bangi, Selangor, before he was admitted to the hospital on August 13. A day later, Sulaiman was admitted to the intensive care unit.

The former teacher and headmaster obtained his tertiary education at the prestigious Sultan Idris Training College (SITC) in Tanjung Malim, Perak and Universitas Nasional, Indonesia.

Sulaiman climbed the corporate ladder when he held a position as Deputy Registrar of University Putra Malaysia (UPM).

His body was brought to Universiti Putra Malaysia Mosque before the Zuhur prayers for the final rites and buried at the UPM Cemetery in Serdang, Selangor.

Sulaiman is survived by his wife, Fatimah Saadom and four children.
