Astro bags 5 awards at The Spark Awards for Media Excellence 2016

Astro Group won big with five honours at The Spark Awards for Media Excellence 2016, held in Singapore, Thursday night.

Astro Radio won Gold for Best Creative Team through its Integration Team, Best Media Solution – Integration Media and Radio Category and one Bronze award while Astro TV took home one Silver award.

Astro Radio won three gold awards -- for Best Creative Team through its Integration Team, Best Media Solution – Integrated Media and Radio Category and a bronze, while Astro TV took home a silver award.

For Best Media Solution – Integrated Media, Astro Radio won gold for its promotional campaign with Shiseido Malaysia dubbed ‘Flip Flip’.

It also won gold and bronze for Best Media Solution – Radio Category for The Merdeka Man promotional campaign with Petronas Group and Restart Zahid’s Career with Wonda campaign with Wonda Conffee respectively.

Meanwhile, Astro TV won the silver award for Best Programme Promotion for Season 1 of its digital mini-series, The House.

The Spark Awards, organised by Marketing Magazine honours top media owners in the Southeast Asian region, giving them the chance to showcase their services to the industry.

Judges for The Spark Awards for Media Excellence 2016 included Havas Media chief executive officer Andreas M. Vogiatzakis, Starcom MediaVest Group chief executive officer Atipol Ithivatana, Zenith Singapore head of strategy Jason Tan, GroupM Malaysia chief executive officer Girish Menon, Carat Philippines chief executive officer Gladys Basinillo and many more.
