Three government agencies will be called up to appear before the proceedings of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the near future, following the Auditor General's Report Series 1 2015 tabled in the Dewan Rakyat today, said PAC chairman Datuk Hasan Arifin.
The agencies involved are Flood Victims Construction and Home Repair Management (National Disaster Management Agency), Sabah Rural Water Supply Programme (BALB) (Sabah Water Department) and the Implementation of Immigration System Malaysia (the Malaysian Immigration Department).
"We will call the agencies concerned as soon as possible. If you look at the report, there are all kinds of ratings. Some are satisfactory, and some are not," he told reporters at the Parliament House here today.
Earlier, he had a briefing from Auditor-General Tan Sri Ambrin Buang.
In total, 38 agencies under the federal government and federal statutory bodies as well as 50 state governments, State Statutory Bodies, Local Authorities and the Islamic Religious Councils were audited under the Auditor General's Report Series 1, 2015.
"The 38 audits on Performance and Management of Subsidiaries done for agencies under the federal government and statutory bodies involved in six categories, namely, programme, construction, safety, revenue management, procurement and company," Hasan added.
At the same time, he said, in 2015, the federal government's revenue amounted to RM219,088 million compared to RM220,625 million in 2014.
"In addition, the administration and development expenditure amounted to RM219,589 million and RM39,503 million respectively," he said.
