Auditor General's Report: PAC to call up two ministries

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will call up two ministries following the Auditor General's Report 2015 Series 2 released today.
PAC chairman Datuk Hasan Arifin said, they are the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities.
"In the tabling (of Auditor General's Report), we have identified a number of ministries that must be called up immediately.
"The first is Health Ministry for matters regarding hospital management, maintenance and supply of drugs.
"And secondly, the Plantation Industries and Commodities Ministry, with respect to palm oil subsidy," he told a press conference in Parliament today.
At the same time, he said, the Auditor General's Department will carry out a follow-up audit on the 1BestariNet programme.
In the Auditor General's Report 2015 Series 2, a total 247 recommendations were listed out to assist the federal government, federal statutory bodies and state governments in rectifying and overcoming their shortcomings.
