KUALA LUMPUR: A police report was lodged against controversial blogger Alvin Tan on his recent derogatory video lampooning the azan (Muslim's call for prayer).
The Pertubuhan Pemikir Muda Malaysia (PPM) president Mohd Rafiq Naizamohideen led the team of youth leaders from various non-governmental organisation and UMNO Youth to lodge a report at Dang Wangi district police station, today.
Rafiq when met by Astro AWANI said: "we're here to lodge a report on Alvin who recently posted a video on the azan while playing the keyboard.
"This is not the first time he has mocked the religion. He went overboard for lampooning the azan as that is the call for Muslims to complete their duties," said Rafiq.
