Tourism Malaysia officer in Sweden, Azizul Raheem Awalludin, who recently released from jail in that country for beating his children, is expected to arrive at the KL International Airport (KLIA) at 5.30 pm tomorrow.
Bernama's source at Wisma Putra confirmed the matter.
"His family has been informed about his return and they are expected to meet him on arrival at the airport," said the source.
Azizul Raheem was imprisoned for beating his four children over a period since September 2010 and had served his sentence in Sweden for three months from March 28.
The Solna District Court in Stockholm sentenced him to 10 months' jail and to his wife, Shalwati Norshal, 14 months, for the offence.
However, the court reduced the jail sentence and both of them were required to serve only one-third of their sentences.
Shalwati, a teacher who is on unpaid leave, would only be released in three months' time.
The couple's four children, who were initially placed under the case of non-Muslim foster parents following the case, had been handed over to the Malaysian Embassy in Stockholm on Jan 30.
The children returned to Malaysia on Jan 31 and were now under the care of their aunt and uncle in Kelantan.
