Arau Member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim fully supports the appointment of Pauh State Assemblyman Azlan Man as new Perlis Menteri Besar.
Shahidan, a former Perlis mentri besar, said he fully supported whatever decision made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
"The three Perlis members of parliament (including Zahidi Zainul Abidin-Padang Besar and Shaharuddin Ismail-Kangar) support the new Menteri Besar," he told reporters after attending a special briefing by the Prime Minister to Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs here today.
They were talks that Shahidan disagreed with the names proposed as Perlis Menteri Besar to replace Datuk Seri Dr Md Isa Sabu who was dropped for the 13th general election (GE13).
Shahidan's brother, Tambun Tulang State Assemblyman Datuk Ismail Kassim were among names mentioned as the Menteri Besar besides Azlan Man, former deputy director-general of the Public Complaints Bureau in the Prime Minister's Department.
Azlan Man,54, was today sworn in as the 11th Perlis Menteri Besar at Istana Arau, Perlis.
