Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali's was called to give a statement regarding his involvement in a Bersih rally since September and not July, as reported.

City police chief Datuk Tajudin Md Isa said his statement as reported by the media yesterday, was not as intended.

"Any mistake is regretted," he said in a statement here today.

Tajudin was reported by Bernama yesterday as saying that Mohamed Azmin's 15-year-old son had been called since July to give a statement, but failed to do so.

Children are not allowed to participate in rallies under the country's laws. Bersih, an electoral reform group, has held a number of rallies over the past few years.
