Bakery shop worker charged for providing support to IS

A worker in a bakery shop was charged in the Sepang Sessions Court for providing support to the Islamic State fighters.
Mohammad Naim Abdul Rashid was alleged to be in Syria to provide support to the group.
He was also alleged to have used Qatar Airways to Syria via Istanbul.
He was alleged to have committed the offence between December 28, 2013 until April 7, 2014 at the Immigration counter of the departure hall at KLIA Sepang.
The charge was made by Deputy Prosecutor Iznina Hanim Hashim under Section 130J(1) (a) of the Penal Code.
If convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison.
No plea was recorded.
Judge Noor Hafizah Mohd Salim set Dec 15 for case management.
