The police have detained the main suspect in the abduction of a Form Three student in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, last week, following a raid at a house in Taman Koperasi Maju Jaya, Cheras on Monday.
The 27-year-old unemployed man was arrested at 3.30pm after police surveillance and is now remanded until Oct 2.
It was reported before this, that the victim, Nur Darleen Dazeera Azhar, now safe with her family, was abducted by two people while waiting for a van to go to school.
Kajang Police Chief ACP Othman Nanyan told Bernama that a check on the suspect's wallet found an identification card believed of his victim from a robbery case in Batu 9, Cheras, last Saturday.
He said, the detention of the man with two previous criminal records related to drugs also led to the arrest of an Indonesian man on the same day at a house in Batu 9, Cheras, suspected to be his buyer.
Asked on whether the police had identified the suspect's accomplice in abducting Nur Darleen Dazeera, Othman said, the man had been identified and would be arrested soon. -- BERNAMA
