Bangkok blast: Body of fifth Malaysian found

Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican told The Sun that DNA tests are being carried out for verification and that the authorities will only be able to confirm once the results are out.

The 52-year-old's body is believed to have been found at midnight.

Meanwhile, The Star said Saw Sek who is the sister of deceased victim Lim Saw Gek, 49, was believed to hold a Singaporean permanent resident status.

Last night, the bodies of the four victims, Siew Gaik, her son-in-law Lee Tze Siang, 33; son, Neoh Jai Jun, 20 and grand-daughter Lee Jing Xuan, 4 were brought from Bangkok on a Thai Airways TG 425 aircraft which arrived at 11pm, Wednesday.

Siew Gaik's husband Neoh Hock Guan, 55 and daughter, Neoh Yee Ling, 33 were unharmed in the incident.

Meanwhile, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Mah Siew Keong said the government would contribute RM10,000 to each family of the victims of Monday's bomb blast in Bangkok.

He said the contributions were aimed at helping the families in funeral expenses, among others.

In the bomb blast at 7pm (8pm Malaysian time) Monday, the four Malaysians were killed and three others injured at the Ratchaprasong junction near the Erawan Shrine and shopping centres in Bangkok.
