Bangladeshi worker found with multiple stab wounds, dies at hospital

A Bangladeshi worker was found badly injured with multiple stab wounds at the construction site of a housing project in Taman Kurau Permai, Batu Kurau, here last night.
Taiping district police chief ACP Harith Kam Abdullah said the victim identified as Muhammad Didarul Islam, 27, later died while receiving treatment at the Taiping Hospital at 11.35pm.
He said police investigations revealed that three Indonesian men came to the victim's house at the construction site and attacked him with sharp weapons at 9.15pm.
"The incident is believed to stem from a misunderstanding while working at the project site," he said in a statement here today.
Harith Kam said the body was sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh for post-mortem and the death was caused by injuries to the head and abdomen due to multiple stab wounds.
The police were on the hunt for the three suspects, he said.
