Bangsar, Hartamas among hotspots for terror attacks - Tengku Adnan

Apart from tourist attraction areas like Bukit Bintang, several 'hotspots' including Bangsar and Hartamas are among the areas of potential terror attacks, revealed Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.
He admitted that the information was obtained from the intelligence team.
"Yes, I did receive information. Among the the places that they are targeting include the Kuala Lumpur city centre, Bukit Bintang, Publika, Solaris, Hartamas, Bangsar and The Curve," he said after launching FT flag campaign today.
He said his ministry will work closely with the police in identifying individuals or groups suspected to be with involved in militant activities.
He said the authorities have beefed up security in tourists attraction areas and increased its manpower.
Tengku Adnan said the police are also monitoring Putrajaya and Labuan as well for any potential terror attacks.
He also urged those with valuable information or suspicion of militant activities to come forward and lodge police reports.
