Banting boat capsize: Two Indonesian nationals detained

As of now, 63 of the victims have been rescued, 14 are found dead while another 20 are still missing.
Two Indonesian nationals were detained on suspicion of being the agent and the skipper of the boat which capsized in Sungai Air Hitam, Kuala Langat, early Tuesday morning.
Chief of the Selangor Criminal Investigation Department, Datuk Adnan Abdullah said that both men aged 44 and 54 respectively were arrested at a premise in Jalan Tengku Badar, Port Klang at 3am on Friday.
He added that both suspects are being investigated under Section 26A of the 2007 Anti- Human Trafficking and Anti Migrant Smuggling Act (ATIPSOM) are remanded for seven days beginning today.
The agent and skipper were pursued following the capsize of a boat ferrying 97 illegal immigrants in the water off Sepang.
The boat was believed to has left from the Sungai Judah Jetty in Carey Island at 11 pm and capsized an hour later.
