Banting boat mishap: 11 confirmed deaths to date

The number of deaths in the Banting boat mishap is steadily escalating, with another body recovered this afternoon, bringing the total deaths to 11 so far.
Authorities said the male body was brought to the jetty at 12.10pm. However, no other details have been provided at Press time.
Meanwhile, an Astro AWANI journalist currently at the location observed that authorities might have found a survivor.
The reporter observed that the woman was brought to the jetty at 12.25pm using a Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) helicopter before being taken to a hospital.
The woman was seen to have an injury on her stomach.
