Batu Maung shooting suspect shot dead by police

The suspect, Chung Chun Wah, 32, was shot near the Kek Lok Si temple at around 7pm Thursday evening.
The man who allegedly killed his family members during a shooting at a poultry processing factory in Batu Maung yesterday, has been shot dead by police in Air Itam.
The suspect, Chung Chun Wah, 32, was shot near the Kek Lok Si temple at around 7pm Thursday evening.
Chung believed to have killed his mother Tan Saw, 55; his brother Chung Wah Thong, 28; nephew Chung Ay Dey or Ah Bee, two, and factory operator Toh Hock Choon, 50, in the incident that happened at 2.55am.
The victims were in their respective bedrooms, located at the factory when the suspect entered the premises.
A quarrel ensued after one of the victim’s refused to give the money demanded by the suspect.
The suspect was armed with a pistol before went on to release fourteen shots before fleeing the scene on a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) owned by the factory.
