Belaga boat tragedy: One more safe, two more missing
Another victim previously thought to be missing came forward to say that he was alive and well, as the Belaga boat tragedy search and rescue efforts entered the sixth day.
Belaga district police chief DSP Bakar Sebau said that one Paulus Engkang had called his relative in Belaga to inform that he was now safe in Sibu.
Paulus is expected to report himself to the Sibu police station today.
With this latest development, there are two more people still reportedly missing from the incident while 205 are safe.
Their names are Maurice Ajan and Roslin Jati.
Meanwhile, a resident from Kampung Uma Tevok at Long Buyun had found the IC of Maurice on Sabtu. Maurice is 22 years old from Rumah Stephen Nanga Dap, Kanowit, Sarawak.
