The Pan-Malaysian Islamic Front (Berjasa) wants the government to provide an allocation to help youths and married couples own houses in the Budget 2015 to be tabled next week.

"This would make housing more affordable to them," Berjasa coordination and publicity chairman Datuk Seri Mustapa Kamal Maulut said at a media conference.

Mustafa Kamal said the government should fix a price ceiling of RM450,000 and RM130,000 for medium- and low-cost houses respectively in the Budget so as to benefit middle- and low-income earners.

The government should also raise the corporate tax rate and import duties as part of efforts to achieve a budget surplus by 2020, he added.
